Disappointing compared to C25K

I started running four years ago with the C25k app and loved it. Although this app has been useful with giving me a starting point with my training, it has been a major disappointment when compared to Actives other apps. Theres no reminder feature, which would make a lot of difference for runners with busy schedules. Also, there needs to be a way to log the cross-train workouts in minutes instead of miles. Cross training is not supposed to be running, so it cant be measured that way. Finally, could the voice be less automated? Its demanding and annoying and the last thing I really want to hear when Im exhausted and in the last mile of my long run. I would not say that I got my moneys worth on this one.

Serves its purpose

Its nothing glamorous and the voice is very computerized but it does its job for getting you training for a half.

Free training programs are just as good

Should have km or mike option. Doesnt let you track longer than the run suggested. Not as "flexible" of a plan as advertised. I much prefer my free running ap that does all of that.

Is this a joke? Not like other two apps...

The couch to 5k and 5 to 10k are great. This app needs some serious updating. The voice is like the first computer voice ever made and it doesnt have a Km option.

This is a beautiful app

I like the look of this app and its easy to setup my training plan. Ill use it to prepare my first half marathon. Lets see how it goes!

Needs playlist option!

Love the couch to 5k and 5k to 10k series. I anticipate loving the training for my first half marathon just as much! Only suggestion is to add the option to be able to select a playlist for music as opposed to shuffling all music on my phone. Ive got a workout playlist I would love to use with this app!! Include in next update!! :)

Not reliable

Workout stops when u accidentally swipe the screen and is very easy to do it. No option to restart from where you left off, you can only start from the beginning.

Distance calculations inaccurate

The distance calculations for this app are inaccurate. I ran the same distance the first two days using the app and there was at least a half mile difference between the two on the app.

So-so

Distance tracking inaccurate. Would like to be able to edit workouts on cross train days. I rode my bike, but it recorded it as a run.

Distance calculations inaccurate

I agree with the others I dont think the distance is calculating right. Please fix. I love the app but would hate to have to switch.

Not impressed yet...

Spent my first ten mins of morning one reloading the app after it crashed. App holds you back and has no real room for personalization. Chose to finish running to the top of my last hill but the app stopped recording my workout at 40 mins, not supposed to run on a x-train day. Doesnt sync to heart rate monitor or other apps. Voice is cheap data voice. ++Big plus is access to options/settings mid workout to shut the thing up! App just needs a lot more R&D. Guess Im spoiled or have high expectations. You get what you pay for.... Spend more and be happy.

Love the App but has bugs

Love the app! The distance is not always accurate is my only problem. Thanks Active!

Like it, but sometimes annoying

Every couple of runs, the music doesnt start when I hit start workout, and I have to close it and reopen it a few times to get the music going. Sometimes the GPS doesnt work right, either. Overall, I like it because it gives me distance and pace (even if they may not be 100% accurate).

Good enough

I like it...it is simple enough and does what I need (which isnt much). However, I do agree that the distance is a little off. This only really effects my splits, because I dont ever think it has reduced my distance...I think I may be over running...but oh, well! I can use the extra run!

Pretty good

So I got this app to help me train for my first half-marathon. It keeps me on track and has some pretty good features interfacing with your music. Overall Im please with it. However, it doesnt allow to move your training around. So for instance, I have Zumba on Thursdays which would be awesome to have as my x-train day but because I do my long runs on Sunday so it doesnt always match up. So I end up skipping forward one day to do the running thats scheduled on Thursday on Wednesday and then do the x-training on Thursday. If you dont keep track of where youve skipped forward or behind it can get really confusing. But overall I like the app and the prompts.

Love it!

I mapped out the distance on another app I have and this app was very accurate, which is different than what others have been saying. I love the input the voice gives me throughout my run! The only thing I would like is for it to verbally notify me of my running pace not just my overall pace. But other than that, I love this app!!

Little fixes would make it perfect.

While I love the plan that the app sets out, I do wish that it allowed you to not only edit the distance but also the amount of time spent during the run/cross-training.

Solid app

I hope that it works. I might have to reevaluate at the end of my first 12 week regiment.

A Few Difficulties But Still A Good App

The voice prompts are a nice feature and it puts together a good workout plan. Wish there was a place to make notes for each run. The dark color-scheme of the makes it almost impossible to read without taking your phone out of your armband if youre out on a run in the bright sun.

Okay

I got this because I have been running 5ks for a while and wanted something more challenging. This works great except it keeps insisting I start today, may 10 on their calendar. Its the 6th...
